Lazy summer days

Since James has been back to school me and Elle have doing a lot of tv watching, sleeping, and well shopping(Trying to cut back on this one though). Elle is such a smarty. She really blows us away with how much she picks up on. I need to get her on video soon and put her up on here. The other day she randomly counted to twenty. I didn't teach her that. (maybe Dora?).. I taught her to count to ten a while ago but quit at that because I thought she was a little young to be doing more. Elle has also graduated from the younger nursery to the older nursery. She also bit her little boyfriend, Noah her first week in there. She likes to be in control of the relationship!Like Noah's mom told the nursery leaders "its okay, they have an understanding", and they do:) Oh..by the way, Elle usually never bites, so don't think she is one of THOSE kids. In the evenings, when it cools down a bit James, ELLe and I will go outside and enjoy the summer evenings. These are just a few pics from the past couple days. The last one is my favorite. She looks like a wildcat

Summer fun

Lately, Elle has been playing with her princess bath toys alot, takes them outside, brings them inside, lines them up,  puts them to sleep, you name it. She has become a little obssessed with princesses lately. At first I thought it was kind of cute, but now its getting annoying. And of course the green chairs from Walmart. Who know a toddler could have so much fun with them?!  While we were in Chattanooga we went to a butterfly garden, ELLE loved it! It was a lot of fun!

We went to see UP and had to leave 20 minutes into it because Elle was being a 2 yr old! Don't ya like our glasses?

My bag I made. I was so proud I had to take a picture and Elle felt like she needed to get in on the bag picture action!

Grateful

I have just been feeling really grateful for my life lately. Grateful for my husband and how hard he is working to make a better future for our little family, grateful for my beautiful daughter who I can't get enough of, and for our extended families who give us such great love and support. I am also SOOO grateful to be feeling good lately. I was struggling with some health issues right after Elle was born for almost two years and I have been feeling a lot better the last 6 months which makes everyone HAPPY:)

Noah's Bday Party and Ross Park

A few more pictures from our Idaho trip. We celebrated Noah's 2nd bday while we were down. Shelley always goes all out for his bday's and this year's theme was ball, peanuts, cracker jacks, hot dogs. It was a lot of fun and the kids played at this amazing park until dark. They also showed movies outside on a projector (very cool) but they were showing star wars that night and none of us really wanted to see that. Before we drove down to Boise me, my mom and Elle went to Ross park to let Elle swim and play. She especially loved the lazy river and I had lots of fun getting in and out with a big tube and a two year old.

Chattanooga

Right before we went to Idaho we went to Chattanooga with our friends, Melanie and Zach.  It was a lot of fun. We went to the coolest aquarium and let the kids play in the water features there. Then we just relaxed at Mel's parent's home and went to a few good hometown food places that Melanie knew of. One of them was called WAY Crazy's. IT was barbecue and was delicious. I had never heard of pulled pork on a baked potato but I tried it and it was AMAZING! It was kind of funny because while in Idaho we had them again because Brad's parents mentioned how yummy they were and we did a baked potato bar for The twins blessing day. Anyway, needless to say, I will be having more pulled pork on my potatoes!

All grown up

Well atleast SHE thinks she is.. Painting her own fingernails, making up her own songs, picking out her own panties in the mornings, trying to pick her breakfast lunch and dinner which she usually wants to be toaster strudels or yogurt. I can't believe how big she is getting. I love her to pieces. Sometimes I look at her and just realize how lucky I am to have such a sweet and spunky little girl. The other night while I was washing her hair, she was looking up at me and she told me I was bootiful. It doesn't get much better than that. PLEASE don't stop adoring me because I sure won't EVER stop adoring you!

4th of July

Sorry this post is a little bit late. I just barely got home from my trip home to Idaho and it was a lot of fun. I got to eat at all of my favorite places and got to visit my new twin nieces in Boise for a few days. A bunch of us went to Island Park for the weekend a few weeks back and had a blast just taking relaxing boat rides and going to the Play Mill theatre. Its so good to get back to Idaho every few months but BOY am I glad to be home to get Elle back on a good schedule. No more trips for this summer. James started school back up this last week so he had to fly home a week earlier than I did (missing the 4th of July with us here in Idaho) We were sad he wasn't able to be with us be we still had fun, having a barbecue, playing in Noah's pool and decorating for a 4th of July children's parade totaling 4 adorable kids riding their bikes around Shelley's neighborhood, loving every minute of it. Then we just did a package of fireworks right there are Shelley's house. The thought of packing up all the kids to go downtown and probably end up with half of them crying because of the noise didn't sound too appealing so we kept it low key and it was SOOO Worth it!

Me: Elle you are going to be such a pretty girl

Elle: Someday
