Christmas in Idaho

Well, I have been a super bad blogger. Some due to one of my cameras being broken and secondly because I have been so darn lazy. I thought I would catch up with this christmas post. We have been in Idaho for the last couple weeks spending time with family. Elle has gotten some much needed grandma time (she loves both her nana and grammy more than anything) and got to play with her cousins a little bit too. Grammy made cookies with Elle on multiple occasions and Elle got to try out her new little cooking set that aunt shelley gave to her.We let Elle open her presents from us before we left Tennessee and then tried to bring a few presents from Santa Claus for her to open in Idaho. Its hard to travel with presents so hopefully we won't have to do that too much. But we do love seeing our family. We had a family fondue party about a week ago and had james brother's fam and his sister come down to Blackfoot for a fun night. Here are a few pictures from this past little while. James also celebrated his 27th bday on Dec 26th and we had a fun little night with lots of yummy food:)

Pigeon Forge

A few weeks ago me, Elle, and my SIL, Sandra went to Pigeon Forge for a nice little vacation. Sandra had a few classes she had to attend but other than that we just, ate, shopped and played. It was such a cute touristy place and two special places we got to go to were Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede (very similar to Midevil times), and Wonder Works. Wonder works was so fun, it had earthquake simulators, a bed of nails we laid on, giant Bubbles, a few fun rides, and lots of other fun stuff. Elle really enjoyed it. I think our favorite part was our cute hotel though. We stayed at a place called "The inn at christmas place". It is decorated for Christmas year round and they even have a jolly old singing santa. He played songs on his guitars while the kids danced around in their pj's and afterwards got to eat milk and cookies. How cute is that?! I wish I got pictures of our hotel, the dixie stampede and wonder works but I didn't, just took a few random ones throughout the week. Did I mention there was FUDGE shops EVERYWHERE! Somehow Sandra got talked into buying 7 blocks of fudge. I wasn't about to complain:) Sandra was also nice enough to take Elle swimming a few times while we were there and she LOVED the hot tub and all the grown up attention she got in there:) Thanks Sandra for taking us with you. It definitely will be a trip we will remember.

Family Pictures

So we finally attempted fall family pictures. My friend, Melanie is a photographer and we were lucky enough to talk her into taking our crazy lil family's photographs. You can find her photo blog here. She is really talented and I think they turned out WAY better than I expected. When you have a two year old, you really don't expect any great pictures but Melanie must have photographic super powers because there were so many good ones! Thanks again Mel:)

Frienemies

This is what Elle and my friend's lil girl Aubrey are. Sometimes they like each other sometimes they hate each other, but overall they are pretty cute together. Me and Aubrey's mommy (Melanie) took these two year olds to a fun little place in Collierville Tn and bribed them with lots of Halloween candy and chips to pose for us. I think they turned out pretty darn cute. What do you think?

Spooktacular Week!

We had a very fun filled Halloween week these past few days. Elle got to go to TWO trunk or treats, dress up THREE times...and got WAY too much candy, which I ate A lot of. Elle was really excited about getting to dress up and even more excited when me and James were dressing up in our costumes. She was the cutest little clown I know. She loved getting the face paint on and even posed for me for a few pictures. She got a WHOLE bag of candy from here Nana Eaton and she won a HUGE pink cake at one of the trunk or treats she went to. Needless to say, she has been in sugar heaven. Yesterday for Halloween we had a little party and ate Spooky foods and drank delicious italian sodas. After all the trick or treating Elle organized her candy, without us even telling her to. I guess they learn young! Let the Holidays begin!
