Happy Father's Day

I just wanted to say thanks to all the men if my life that are so wonderful! James, my dad and my father-in-law. They are all such great examples. James is such a great guy and I am lucky to have him as a husband.

Teacher: Did you father help you with your homework? 
Student: No, he did it all by himself.

Little Johnny: Dad, can I go to the bathroom
Dad: Little Johnny, MAY I go to the bathroom? 
Little Johnny: But I asked first! 

Who's the Boss? 
While having their evening dinner together, a little girl looked up at her father and asked, "Daddy, you're the boss in our family, right?" The father was very pleased to hear it and confidently replied, "Yes my little princess." The girl then continued, "That's because mommy put you in charge, right?"

So Elle has been getting in my drawers and pulling out my lingerie lately. She thinks they are pretty ballet dresses. Its pretty funny. She has taken more interest in it than I ever have! I wonder who invited Lingerie...What were they thinking?!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disney World

While we were in Florida we took Elle to Disney Word in Orlando. We were kind of nervous to go because it was supposed to rain and the tickets were so expensive, but it only ended up raining for 30 minutes which cooled everything off, so it was perfect! The only other thing that was a little awkward was that it was Gay Pride week and so over half the people in Magic Kingdom were gay men wearing their gay pride/gay day red t-shirts. But for the most part it was a pretty terrific day and Elle loved it! She said her favorite part was meeting the princesses and riding dumbo. She was even big enough to ride a little roller coaster with daddy. The night before we walked around in Downtown Disney and ate at Planet Hollywood which was SUPER delicious! It was a fun time and I think we will take her again in a few years, maybe with some cousins or friends.

Elle's first beach experience

Forgive me in advance...........This post is going to contain ALOT of pictures. We went to visit my brother's family in Florida this past week. They live 5 minutes from a white sandy beach. I have a love/hate relationship with the beach. I love the sound of the ocean, the beauty of the white sand and the waves crashing in, the relaxation that comes with lounging in a chair and watching your husband and little girl play, wading a little bit, and building sand castles.. I hate, the salty ocean water that sometimes gets in your mouth, the sticky wet sand that is so darn hard to get off your clothing and your skin and makes everything a mess, not knowing if anything dangerous is near you when you are swimming in the ocean (this really freaks me out). Overall its a good place to visit once in a while. Elle loved playing with James and Zac while me and Nicolette caught a few sun rays. James even tried to get up on a surf board but the waves were too choppy and little to really get any action.
