Memphis Botanical Gardens

So on Wednesday afternoons The Memphis Botanical gardens have free admission. Well free admission is good for one thing because it persuades me to go someplace that I usually wouldn't go and also I get to socialize because a lot of other woman in my ward like to benefit from these free admission days too! I was pleasantly surprised to find out the they had added a new childrens garden and it was HUGE! There were about 5-6 different playhouses for kids to play in, toys, swings, lots of different activities, concessions, and even a treehouse! Elle was in heaven and so was I. I will definitely be back more often. Sorry About my uncentered photos I can't seem to fix them!

Elle Interviews Age 2 1/2

I thought it would be cute to interview Elle every 6 months or so and record it. Here is her first one. Word for Word

Elle: Pink and Purple

Elle: Seth, Sydney, aubrey and Ginny too

Elle the artist

Elle has a bit of a creative side to her. She loves to paint or draw or color. I picked up some little ceramic type figures for her to paint the other day. She LOVED it. I also started to teach her some letter recognition, we are only on A, but hopefully we can get through the whole alphabet. She might still be a little young, but we'll see if she can catch on.

Sugarland/Keith Urban concert

This was a couple months ago, but I thought I might as well post it. It was a fun night. Sugarland was amazing! I have already seen Keith Urban before but he wasn't as good this time. I bought the cheapest tickets and guess where we sat (on the very top row, I kid you not) I felt like I was going to fall to my death because of how steep it got up there. We sat by some fun Ladies though and James even let me buy some $10 Barbecue Nachos! 

K this last picture is kind of funny, Only because I had no idea what James was doing and he had no idea what I was doing until we looked at the picture. We busted up laughing when we looked at the picture we had just taken.

Charity's Wedding Day

James's sister, Charity, got married this past weekend. It was lots of fun getting to know Rob and his family a little better. We ate lots of good food, thanks to Michael and ate Lots of cake and Candy thanks to Becky, Renee, Diane and Amy. Now its time to starve myself for the next couple weeks to lose all the weight I gained (haha yeah right, as if I had enough ambition). Me and Amy took the pictures and were not anticipating the heat. WOW. Its kind of hard taking pictures in 100 degree weather. I still think we got some good ones though. My parents have also been down here visiting but I will make a post of that next time. I also had some really great pictures from a barbecue we had last friday but sadly the pictures won't download so I cant show ya those. We are trying to get in some sort of schedule again now that James is in school. Elle is doing so much better sleeping through the night, she is such a big girl now. I am trying to talk her into having an animal birthday party in January for her 3rd bday but she's not going for that. She wants a princess bday party.  I still have 5 months to convince her though:) Life is good!

Lazy summer days

Since James has been back to school me and Elle have doing a lot of tv watching, sleeping, and well shopping(Trying to cut back on this one though). Elle is such a smarty. She really blows us away with how much she picks up on. I need to get her on video soon and put her up on here. The other day she randomly counted to twenty. I didn't teach her that. (maybe Dora?).. I taught her to count to ten a while ago but quit at that because I thought she was a little young to be doing more. Elle has also graduated from the younger nursery to the older nursery. She also bit her little boyfriend, Noah her first week in there. She likes to be in control of the relationship!Like Noah's mom told the nursery leaders "its okay, they have an understanding", and they do:) Oh..by the way, Elle usually never bites, so don't think she is one of THOSE kids. In the evenings, when it cools down a bit James, ELLe and I will go outside and enjoy the summer evenings. These are just a few pics from the past couple days. The last one is my favorite.
